Clayday Privacy Policy

Clayday is a companion app for air-dry clay craft kits. This policy explains what data Clayday collects, why it is used, and how to contact us.

Data We Collect

Clayday uses Firebase Authentication for Apple and Google sign-in. When you sign in, Clayday stores your sign-in email, Firebase user ID, linked sign-in provider IDs, Clayday account ID, unlocked kit IDs, kit progress, and account timestamps.

The app keeps local cached copies of ownership, progress, language, haptics, narration, and analytics preferences on your device.

When you redeem an unlock code, Clayday stores operational redemption records for fraud prevention, manufacturing reconciliation, and support. These records may include the redeemed kit ID, hashed unlock-code record, distributor or batch metadata, redemption time, and the Clayday account ID that redeemed the code.

When you buy digital access in the app, App Store or Play Store purchase systems process the transaction. Clayday stores the resulting kit entitlement on your signed-in Clayday account so the app can unlock the purchased instructions and restore purchases across devices.

Analytics

Usage analytics are optional and off by default. If you enable Usage Analytics in Settings, Clayday sends app analytics events to Firebase Analytics, such as redemption success or failure diagnostics and product interaction signals.

You can turn Usage Analytics on or off in Settings at any time.

How We Use Data

Clayday uses data to:

• let you sign in
• sync unlocked kits and progress
• redeem kit unlock codes
• provide and restore digital access purchases
• prevent abuse and fraud
• answer support requests
• improve the app when analytics are enabled

Clayday does not sell personal data and does not use personal data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Account Deletion

You can delete your Clayday account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your Clayday cloud account data, identity mappings, and local cached account data on the device.

Some operational redemption records may be retained for fraud prevention, reconciliation, and support. App Store and Play Store purchases may remain available from the store account used to buy them and can be restored into a signed-in Clayday account.

Retention

Clayday keeps account ownership and progress data while your account remains active. Operational unlock-code and redemption records may be retained for support, fraud prevention, and manufacturing reconciliation. Short-lived rate-limit records expire automatically.

Children

Clayday is a craft instruction app and is not submitted as an App Store Kids Category app unless stated in the App Store listing. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact hello@clay.day.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The latest version should be available at the privacy policy URL listed in the App Store.
